FAQs

Getting started.

Contact normally starts with a few emails to see if art therapy feels right and to organise our first consultation. If we agree to meet I will also send via email an intake questionnaire. Our first session/s will be a consultation, an introduction to each other and assessment of needs. Here I might ask more in-depth personal information and discuss aims for therapy. In these sessions we will also form our ‘terms’ for our work together such as day and time of the sessions, frequency, cancellation procedures, etc.

Pricing, frequency and length of sessions.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, on the same day and time each week. The cost of each session is £75 and once we agree to work together, I will invoice you at the end of each month. Talk to me about costs if it is a concern to you as I do offer a sliding scale to those on lower incomes.

How will your information be used?

The work we do together is confidential, art psychotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and follow the confidentiality guidelines imposed by this regulating body.

If interested in the standards of performance and conduct please visit here.

This just means I’ll protect the information you will confide in me according to these standards.
